The Electronics Centre is an internet based office which the Port Authority of Castellón has set up in order to attend to the rights of citizens who wish to interact with the Administration via internet as is established by Law 11/2007.
The Technology of Information and Communication is revolutionizing the way in which people and companies communicate with each other. In this context the Public Administration is committed to the principles of efficiency laid down in Article 103 of the Spanish Constitution and is therefore steadily adapting itself to these changes in order to be able to offer citizens all the possible advantages that these changes to communication systems offer.
The Technology of Information and Communication allows citizens to have a closer relationship with the Administration so that it is now possible for them to undertake administrative tasks from home where before they would have had to go in person to an office and waste time in journeys and queues. The Electronics Centre can also be open 24/7 although it should be understood that applications sent on non-working days will be dealt with on the next working day. (See annex with the calendar of working days.)
